FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Brett White Joins Project Kindle’s Board of Directors Santa Clarita, CA- Project Kindle is excited to announce that Brett White, Chief Executive Officer of CB Richard Ellis, has decided to join as a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. White has been involved in a number of civic and charitable organizations in years past and Project Kindle is very pleased to have him on board. Mr. White brings years of experience in the real estate world to Project Kindle’s board. He will be an integral part of planning the new campsite initiative, Kindle Ranch, which will be a green, barrier free campsite located in Southern California. Mr. White first became involved with Project Kindle’s at their 1st Annual Life Skills Retreat held at UCLA in June 2008. He sat down with 20 young adults ages 16-21 who are impacted by HIV or AIDS. The young adults in attendance were impacted greatly by Mr. White’s life skills session. Mai said, “ I really liked that you pushed us to believe in ourselves, because sometimes we need that reinforcement.” Brryan added, “You’re honestly one of the few people in my life that I will forever look up to.” Many more were thankful for the words of wisdom that Mr. White brought with him to the Life Skills Retreat. Eva Payne, the Founder and Executive Director of Project Kindle is very excited about both Mr. White’s involvement with the Life Skills Retreat as well as him joining the Board of Directors. “The things these children appreciate most are honesty, integrity and being cared for despite their disease,” Payne said. “We are sincerely thankful for the time Brett spent with us, because he connected with these children in a way many others aren’t able to.” “In these trying economic times, it is easy to overlook the very things we should be most thankful for- our family and our health,” White said. “[The Project Kindle kids] Lorryn, Dylan Brryan and others- who are facing much more difficult situations- should remind us how far hope and determination can take us.” Mr. White believes in the mission of Project Kindle and is willing to help the organization grow and flourish over the coming years. His expertise in the business world will aid in the future developments for Project Kindle. “We are honored to have Brett White join our board,” Payne said. “He believes in our mission of serving children with special needs and we look forward to working with him to reach our goals of expanding these services.” ### |
